Mark Miller has joined Marketplace as managing editor, based out of Marketplace’s Los Angeles bureau beginning in November.
He is the former director of editorial operations at Newsweek/Daily Beast and deputy editorial director at The Hollywood Reporter,
“In Mark we have a stellar, creative journalist whose experience spans digital, print and broadcast,” said Deborah Clark, Marketplace’s vice president and executive producer.
During his 25-year career, Miller has also worked at The Dallas Morning News, the Texas Tribune and ABC News. Additionally, he led digital editorial strategy at Newsweek.com. He shares two National Magazine Awards for his reporting on Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential campaign and for Newsweek’s coverage of the 9/11 attacks and Afghanistan war, which he helped coordinate as chief of correspondents.
