Judy McGrath will be honored by the American Women in Radio and Television.
The chairman/CEO of MTV Networks will receive the Foundation of AWRT Achievement Award at this year’s Gracie Awards event on June 3.
The award goes to a person “who has made extraordinary strides and accomplished tremendous successes in the field of electronic media.”
The organization said McGrath has overseen the development of “some of cable TV’s most beloved programs and events.” They include “MTV Video Music Awards,” “The Real World,” “The Osbournes” and others.
“Judy McGrath’s cultural vision and business acumen have helped build MTV Networks into an international multi-platform success story,” stated AWRT President, Maria E. Brennan.
The Gracies recognize programming created for women, by women and about women in electronic media.
