BE Adds High-Power Transmitter

Companies are beginning to give the industry a peek at their plans for the spring NAB convention.
Broadcast Electronics will show a new single-tube transmitter, the 25 kW FM-25T. The new model is suitable for customers wanting 21 to 26 kW, and those who need combined transmitters with outputs between 40 and 50 kW, said Tim Bealor, vice president of RF systems. The FM-25T can be used as a 25kW transmitter or combined for 50 kW output power.
This completes a product line that includes models in 5, 10, 20, 30 and 35 kW.
