Lawrence J. Cervon is being saluted this month by the company he ran for many years, Broadcast Electronics.

BE is sending out invitations to an Oct. 26 event at its factory in Quincy, Ill., to salute its former president, and it will dedicate a plaque to Cervon there.

Cervon will take part in the event from his home on Long Island, N.Y., and the event will be video streamed “so all in the industry may participate,” BE executive Neil Glassman told RW.

BE is ramping up to celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2009; and 30 years ago this year, Cervon moved the company to Illinois from Silver Spring, Md.
