Berdis of ‘Dick & Bert’ Receives Sales Honor

The Radio-Mercury Awards will honor Bert Berdis with a Lifetime Achievement Award for work in the radio advertising creative field.
It will be presented during the 2004 Radio-Mercury Awards produced by the Radio-Creative Fund on June 9 in New York.
Berdis is president of a radio production firm that has produced some 20,000 spots for national clients. He has won 89 Clios. He is former creative director of Grey Advertising, and was half of “Dick and Bert” with Dick Orkin, a four-year campaign for Time Magazine. Berdis has written for TV shows and owns recording studios.
Past recipients include Paul Harvey, Charles Osgood, Keith Reinhard, Stan Richards and Orkin.
