Bonneville Snags Nationals Games in Washington

Two Bonneville stations will air Washington Nationals baseball games.
WWZZ, an FM rock station, will carry 122 games, and AMer WFED will air all 162 games, according to the Washington Post. Although both Infinity and Clear Channel are players in the Washington market, neither reached agreement with MLB, which owns the Nationals, formerly the Montreal Expos.
The Post quotes a source as saying the team is paying “several hundred thousand dollars” to buy airtime. The team and Bonneville are expected to sell ads.
Apparent talks between the team and Clear Channel collapsed last month, according to the report.
