Bridge Ratings Say Stern L.A. Audience ‘Up For Grabs’

Bridge Ratings Say Stern L.A. Audience 'Up For Grabs'

With the first release of Bridge Ratings’ audience measurement since the departure of Howard Stern from KLSX(FM), 25-54-year-old listeners in Los Angeles appear to be changing the station in morning drive. New host Adam Carolla debuted with a 1.9 share among the “money” demographic, down from Stern’s 4.1.
The overall 12+ M-S 6a-Midnight cume for KLSX dropped 28%, from 732,000 listeners in October to 524,900 listeners this January. Bridge says that the data confirm that a large percentage of audience will change the station in light of the absence of a favorite show.
With the absence of Stern, alternative KROQ(FM), CHR KIIS(FM), Classic Rock KLOS(FM), N/T KFI(AM) and Jack-formatted KCBS(FM) have all seen increases in morning drive listening.
