Hispanic Target Media has surrendered the licenses of 10 of its stations across California, Florida and Texas.

The company did not provide a reason for the cancellations in its Sept. 30 Federal Communications Commission filings. Radio World has reached out to Hispanic Target Media for further comment.

The cancelled stations are:

  • Class A 102.7 KQHM(FM) in Zapata, Texas
  • Class C3 93.5 KGWT(FM) in George West, Texas
  • Class A 99.3 KEHM(FM) in Colorado City, Texas
  • Class C3 94.9 KHMZ(FM) in Snyder, Texas
  • Class A 102.5 KXAM(FM) in San Diego, Texas
  • Class C3 93.7 KXFS(FM) in Rankin, Texas
  • Class A 104.3 KPQG(FM) in Goliad, Texas

  • Class A 95.1 KHMJ(FM) in Trona, Calif.

The stations previously aired a Regional Mexican format under the “Radio Amigo” brand. Hispanic Target Media continues to operate 15 other stations across Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas and Virginia.

One of those stations, KPQS(FM) in Waterford, Calif., was granted a license renewal by the FCC in 2022 after it had been challenged with allegations of being off the air for extended period.
