Cavell, Mertz & Davis Inc. has changed its name to Cavell Mertz & Associates Inc., after Joseph M. Davis left to start his own solo practice.
Davis’ new firm is called Chesapeake RF Consultants LLC.
“The name change was part of the normal course of events when someone whose name ‘is on the door’ decides to make a change in their life,” Garrison C. Cavell tells RW Online.
Davis informed clients in an e-mail that he and his wife plan eventually to relocate from the Washington area. He has been partners with Gary Cavell and Richard Mertz for 11 years, nine as the managing partner. “It has truly been a great experience working with them and a very talented staff,” he wrote.
Cavell Mertz is based in Manassas, Va., as is Chesapeake RF for now.
