CBS Radio Detroit Lands University of Michigan Sports

Signed multiyear deal for football, basketball and hockey

CBS Radio Detroit’s WWJ(AM)/Newsradio 950, WXYT(FM)/97.1 The Ticket and WXYT(AM)/CBS Sports Radio 1270 will remain the local homes of University of Michigan sports thanks to a new multiyear deal that was completed in association with IMG. CBS Radio continues its 20-year relationship with the university to broadcast Michigan football, basketball and hockey games.

WWJ will be the main provider of football games, with WXYT(FM)/97.1 The Ticket providing simulcast of select games; WXYT(FM) will also broadcast a weekly interview with Michigan football coach Jim Harbaugh. WWJ will also air Michigan’s basketball games, while WXYT(AM)/Sports Radio 1270 will air hockey.

All three stations can also be heard online at www.cbsdetroit.com and through the Radio.com app.
