CBS, Stern Settle Lawsuit

CBS, Stern Settle Lawsuit

The lawsuit brought by CBS Radio against Howard Stern, Sirius Satellite Radio and Stern’s agent Don Buchwald has been settled, the parties said.
As part of the agreement, Stern now owns the tapes of his CBS shows and Sirius agreed to pay CBS $2 million.
The remaining terms and conditions of the settlement are confidential, according to the parties, although The Washington Post reports that CBS will receive more than the $2 million.
CBS filed the suit after Stern moved to Sirius claiming breach of contract by using his final 14 months at CBS to promote his move to Sirius.
Sirius agreed in 2004 to hire Stern in a five-year deal valued at $500 million.
