The Caribbean Broadcasting Union is launching a Digital Radio webinar series on March 22.
The series, supported by the Caricom Secretariat, will allow CBU’s members to learn more about the Digital Radio Mondiale and WorldDAB digital radio standards.
The DRM Consortium and WorldDAB partnered with the CBU at its annual assemblies in Havana in 2016 and in Nassau in 2017 to share information on digital radio options and the best ways to transition toward digitization.
The first webinar, slated for March 22 at 11 a.m. Eastern Caribbean time, will focus on Digital Radio Mondiale and feature Ruxandra Obreja, DRM chairman; Alexander Zink of Fraunhofer IIS; and Matthias Stoll of Ampegon. Topics will include digtial radio advantages, business models for small markets, and staff training.
CBU members should email the secretariat to register no later than midday (Eastern Caribbean time) on Friday, March 16.
