CEA Gets Behind IBOC

The Consumer Electronics Association supports the endorsement of the National Radio Systems Committee for FM IBOC DAB. In public comments filed with the FCC, CEA stated IBOC “is a significant improvement over today’s analog FM broadcast service.”
CEA suggested that FM stations that begin transmitting the IBOC signal early should meet the same interference resolution requirements as those who initiate analog transmissions with new or modified facilities.
