Clear Channel Auctions Autographed Guitars for Hurricane Relief

As part of its relief efforts for communities affected by Hurricane Charley, Clear Channel Radio began auctioning off 43 celebrity-signed guitars today on www.stormaid.com, featuring signatures from Robert Plant, George Thorogood, Tom Petty, Sammy Hagar and Kenny Rogers, among others. The company says proceeds go directly to displaced families and the Red Cross. The auction will end at 3 p.m. on Sept. 20.
“Our Florida radio stations have been especially active. They were broadcasting around-the-clock before, during and after the hurricane, and are participating in and promoting ongoing relief efforts. This auction is another way for individuals to support those in need. At the same time, the guitars are great pieces of memorabilia for any music fan.”
