Clear Channel Radio has announced three managers for three large markets.
Thea Mitchum was named to oversee the company’s Washington, D.C./Baltimore group. Mitchum was operations manager for the same market previously. Prior to the appointment Mitchum was just up I-95 as operations manager for Clear Channel Radio Philadelphia. Clear Channel Radio Senior Vice President of Operations Hartley Adkins said, “Thea Mitchem is one of the rare programming professionals to make the move to market manager, but her accomplishments and success with the company prove she is the perfect person for the position.”
Pam McKay is the new market manager for the San Antonio market. She too is only moving down an interstate highway (in this case, I-35), coming from Clear Channel’s Austin operations, where she was market manager. Clear Channel’s Executive Vice President Operations Western Region Susan Karis made the announcement.
The Boston/Providence, R.I. market will see an internal promotion for market vet Mary Menna. Menna becomes market manager after serving as director of sales for the group market. Menna has worked the Boston/Providence group for about 20 years. That announcement was from Clear Channel Radio Senior Vice President of Operations Tom McConnell.
