The NAB has released some plans for the Radio Show, Sept. 18–20, in Orlando, Fla. The convention is co-sponsored with the RAB.
On Sept. 20, a Programming Master Series and a Sales Consultants Corner will be conducted.
A release describes the programming event as addressing, “how today’s multiplatform media environment impacts radio programmers as they juggle the demands of programming multiple stations and cultivating talent …” scheduled sessions are entitled, “The Art of Story Telling,” “The Next Gen Programmer” and “What’s Working at Work.” Panelist involved include Evan Harrison of Univision, Laurie Cantillo of WTOP(FM) and Buzz Knight of Greater Media.
According to the release, the sales track features “radio’s top sales trainers and consultants discussing effective strategies for training salespeople, prospecting new leads and growing revenue.” Scheduled sessions include “The Seven Steps for Selling Success,” “Getting the Appointment” and “Addressing Objections and Closing.” Sales attendees expected include Paul Weyland, Marijane Milton of MultiBrand Media International, Susan Novicki of Morrison and Abraham, along with Michael Guld, author of “Million Dollar Media Rep.”
