DGital Media Adds EVP of Digital Sales and Strategy

Also adds new production division

Audio services firm DGital Media has tapped Brian Landau to serve as executive vice president for digital sales and strategy. The company also has announced DGital Media Studios, its new production division, will be led by Sean Cherry, Chris Basil and Lou Pellegrino.

Landau, an alum from cloud-based social sponsorship company Izea, will be charged with driving digital sales and partnerships with national content producers and brands to extend their audio brands and engage existing and new audiences, a release said.

“Key to our success as a company will be developing and selling compelling on-demand audio — converting the popularity of personalities and brands into audiences for content that we can distribute and sell,” said DGital Media CEO Spencer Brown. “At core, we plan to build programming as strong as our sales/distribution.”

The new production division will focus on developing and producing proprietary audio content featuring media companies, brands, personalities and platforms. Its first project will be a fantasy sports platform called Fantasy Sports Voices in conjunction with Fantasy Alarm, a fantasy sports-oriented website, and featuring Kay Adams, Eric Kuselias, Fantasy Sports Network with Pat Mayo, Roto Grinders and Swish Analytics.

The DGital Studios leadership team, comprised of former Westwood One and NBC Sports Radio operations and production executives, includes: SVP of Programming and Operations Cherry, VP of Production Basil and Executive Producer Pellegrino.
