Dick Clark Sidelined With Stroke

Dick Clark on Wednesday was recovering from what was described as a minor stroke, the L.A. Times reported. He is 75. He revealed last spring that he had adult onset diabetes.
The long-time celebrity of radio and TV is scheduled to host his annual ABC “Dick Clark’s New Year’s Rockin’ Eve” on Dec. 31. The newspaper reported that, “In private conversation, ABC executives said no plans have been made if Clark is not ready to return to the microphone 22 days from now.”
Clark issued a statement saying he hoped to make the Times Square event as planned.
