Entercom says WPOW(FM) evening drive host Miguel “Mijo” Irizarry will now serve as program director and midday host for the Miami station. Also, Chris Debbins has been named assistant program director for WPXY(FM) in Rochester, N.Y.
Mijo joined WPOW in August 2017. Prior to that, he held on-air roles for Philadelphia’s WTDY(FM) and WHPT(FM) in Portland, Maine, where he also served as the station’s music director.
Also, Debbins will continue serving as afternoon drive host and music director for WPXY, roles he’s held since 2016. Debbins joined the station in April 2014 as producer for the morning show. Then in September 2014, he began hosting the evening and weekend drives and became promotions director for 98 PXY and sister station WCMF(FM) in Rochester. Prior to joining Entercom, Debbins held on-air roles for WBSU in Brockport, N.Y., and WKGS in Rochester.
