WASHINGTON � The Media Bureau and the Wireless Telecommunications Bureau have provided an online tutorial that provides an overview of the application filing requirements for applicants seeking a new cross-service FM translator. It�s available at the Auction 99 website.
Note that the tutorial requires Adobe Flash and runs for about 48 minutes.
The FCC cautions this �tutorial is intended as an educational supplement to the Filing Instructions Public Notice, and is not a substitute for an applicant�s review of all applicable orders, rules, policies and public notices regarding this auction and FM translator opportunity.�
Upon request, the commission also clarified �that this filing window opportunity is available to either an existing AM station licensee or, if applicable, a proposed assignee of such an AM station.�
