Florida Officials Investigating Tower Worker Death

61-year-old found dead on tower Monday

Florida officials are investigating why a man died on a 750-foot radio tower in Bonita Springs, Fla. yesterday.

The Lee County Sheriff’s Office said an autopsy would be conducted to determine why 61-year-old Nick Rouskey died, reported naplesnews.com.

Rouskey was the president and director of Broadcast Services Tower & Antenna Inc., according to state records.

Bonita Springs Fire Deputy Chief Frank Giuliano told naplesnews.com that Rouskey was found unresponsive approximately 600 feet above ground; Rouskey’s grandson was working at the base. Both men were conducting electrical work on the tower, according to accounts.

Meridian Broadcasting rents the tower for WFSX(FM) Fox News 92.5, as do other stations, reported the News-Press.com.
