Frandsen Media Co. has named Jim Burgoyne as its newest chief operating officer.
Burgoyne’s responsibilities include overseeing 20 AM and FM stations, 20 websites and various social media accounts in Utah, Southeast Idaho and Western Wyoming. Burgoyne joined Frandsen in 1981 and led the team that launched KLCE(FM) and KCVI(FM). Burgoyne was president of Riverbend Communications, a cluster of stations in Southeast Idaho. He takes on a newly created position at Frandsen Media, according to a spokesman.
Burgoyne starts as COO on May 15.
Owned by Kent Frandsen, Frandsen Media’s holdings include Sandhill Media Group in Idaho Falls, Idaho; the Cache Valley Media Group in Logan, Utah; and Canyon Media in St. George, Utah, which it also operates. The company also owns KNYN(FM) and KADQ(FM)in Evanston, Wyo.
