Full Compass Fundraiser Benefits Arts

Event is now in its ninth year

Local charities and art students are among the intended beneficiaries of an annual fundraiser hosted by equipment dealer Full Compass Systems.

In May it hosted the “Golf Carts for Wisconsin Arts” tournament at The Meadows at Six Mile Creek in Waunakee, Wis.

About a hundred golfers and volunteers attended. Supporters included Aviom, Audio-Technica, Harman International, Panasonic, Sony, Yamaha and SKB Cases.

It was the ninth year for the event; the tournaments have raised about $50,000 to date for charities and for freshman scholarships in the School of Music and Department of Theater and Drama at UW-Madison.

The event was organized by the Full Compass Charitable Contributions Committee. That employee-run group is supported by company owners Susan and Jonathan Lipp. Susan Lipp stated, “Our goal is to keep the arts alive by supporting students who are focusing on them as a career path.”
