GM Signs Up Its 1 Millionth XM Subscriber

GM recently signed up its 1 millionth XM Satellite Radio subscriber, the satcaster said.
The automaker offers XM as a factory-installed or dealer option on 50 of its 2005 car and truck models and has been a “strategic investor” in the satellite firm.
A GM official said in a statement that more than 75% of customers with XM in their vehicles tell the company they would only consider or prefer to buy a vehicle with XM, and that of those, 90% say they would recommend it to others.
GM began offering XM on Cadillacs in 2001. Today, one out of three GM vehicles purchased are equipped with factory-installed XM.
