
Inrush Broadcast Services has named Rob Bertrand as its chief executive officer.
Bertrand is a veteran radio engineer with major-market experience in both commercial and public radio. He joined the firm as a partner in January.
Inrush is a broadcast technical services and integration provider based in Chicago. It said Bertrand “has been integral in expanding their technical services footprint across the radio industry, while also helping to shape the way the company works.”
Bertrand is former head of technology for public radio outlet WAMU in Washington. The station is licensed to American University, where Bertrand also earned a master of science degree in organization development. He also is former market chief engineer for what was then CBS Radio in New York (now Audacy). He started his career at Greater Media in New Jersey.

Inrush founder Mike Dorris now becomes chief operating officer.
Partner Shaun Dolan will be SVP, emerging technologies, including oversight of the development and rollout of the InrushVoice service.
Partner Brian Sapp is SVP, client success and service delivery, which includes support of the its operational presence in the Chicagoland area and an expanded role in managing service delivery and leading the Inrush NOC operation.
And partner Cameron Boswell leads field operations as the SVP, integration and systems engineering. That includes heading up studio and data center buildouts and engineering integrations of mission-critical systems at client stations.
Dorris cited the company’s dramatic growth in the past five years. “We’re ready to be more intentional about how we work. It’s what we had in mind when we brought Rob aboard early this year,” he said in the announcement.
“As we’ve grown, we wanted to find someone to help streamline and fuel our next stage of growth … His deep technical expertise combined with his leadership skills makes him a perfect fit for the team.”
