HHB Delivers PORTADISC

The PORTADISC by HHB, which debuted at NAB 2000, records on standard MiniDiscs and uses the ATRAC recording algorithm. The unit features balanced microphone input circuits that are equipped with switchable phantom power and limiting which can be stereo linked.
The PORTADISC can record 80 minutes of continuous stereo or 160 minutes in mono. The unit is powered by AA batteries or by rechargeable Nickel Metal Hydride batteries. It can also be powered by the supplied universal 100V-240V charger.
Other features include RCA line outputs, headphone jack, monitoring speaker, back-up microphone and both coaxial and optical S/PDIF digital I/Os. In addition, basic editing functions are also available on the PORTADISC and are accessed via a software-controlled menu system.
