IEEE Issues Call for BTS Papers and Panels

Abstracts are due May 15

The IEEE Broadcast Technology Symposium Committee is seeking presenters and panelists for its 2017 conference.

Prospective presenters are invited to submit abstracts of up to 500 words via email, according to an announcement. Please indicate that the abstract is submitted for the 2017 IEEE Broadcast Symposium and include the author’s full name and contact information including: affiliation, address, email and phone number. The deadline to submit is May 15.

Additionally, those who submit an abstract will be entered into a drawing for free symposium registration for the presenter or a guest.

The BTS committee has indicated that it wants to cover topics that reflect how “broadcasting represents more than just AM, FM, and TV” and are therefore “of broad interest to the broadcast community,” according to the release. The call for papers suggests topics ranging from AES interoperability to cellular broadcast technologies to “second screen” technology and services to AM, FM, and TV transmitter and antenna systems to hybrid radio and much more.
