IHeartMedia Names Calif. Regional Programming Manager

Gaby Diaz joins KYLD San Francisco as nighttime host

IHeartMedia has promoted Rob Scorpio to regional programming manager for California. KYLD(FM) in San Francisco also announced that Gaby Diaz will join the station as its new nighttime host, beginning Feb. 23.

“One of the many great things about iHeartMedia is their commitment to promote within company,”Scorpio said in a press release.

As regional programming manager, Scorpio will oversee all programming operations for the Riverside, Fresno, Bakersfield, Modesto, Stockton and Monterey markets. He most recently served as operations manager for the iHeartMedia Riverside/Temecula cluster, which includes KGGI(FM). His programming background also includes PD duties at KBXX(FM) in Houston, KKBT(FM) in Los Angeles, KREV(FM) in San Francisco, WPGC(FM) in Washington and KFRH(FM) in Las Vegas.

Diaz will join “Wild 94.9” KYLD from KPWR(FM) in Los Angeles, where she most recently served as a weekend host, promotions coordinator and digital content contributor. In addition she also has been hosting nights on KEGY in San Diego. Diaz started her career at KKUU(FM) in Palm Springs as an on-air talent.

Diaz will host weeknights from 7 p.m.–midnight.

IHeartMedia San Francisco operates KIOI(FM), KISQ(FM), KKSF(AM), KMEL(FM), KNEW(AM), KOSF(FM) and KYLD.
