IREC Names Burns as COO

International Radio and Electronics Corp. has named Steven K. Burns as COO effective Oct. 1; he will also continue as chief financial officer.
The announcement was made by IREC Chairman Leonard Isaacs. Burns will report to the board “and be responsible for IREC profitability and growth in the broadcast industry.”
A spokesman told RW Online that Burns replaces Cleo Betts, who will stay on as engineering manager.
Burns is a CPA with experience in executive management and finance at companies including Zenith Data Systems and Fedders Corp. He has been CFO since 2001.
