Limbaugh Raises $3+ Million for Charity

Leukemia & Lymphoma Society beneficiary of listener largesse

We hear a lot about individual radio stations and corporate clusters raising money for various charities and causes but we don’t get as much for on syndicated programs raising money. Here’s some.

Last Friday Premiere Networks syndicated talker Rush Limbaugh conducted his 2016 Cure-A-Thon during his three-hour daily show. When all was said and done, the effort raised $3.3 million, a 15% increase over last year’s total. The leukemia & Lymphoma Society is the recipient.

Limbaugh said, “Every year I think it’s going to be the year that we finally have topped out and we’re not going to be able to beat the previous year. And I’ve never been right.”

A release said that Limbaugh has been raising money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society for 26 years and he has chalked up over $47 million.
