To help stations promote the IBOC technology, Ibiquity Digital President/CEO Robert Struble announced a special receiver price program just for broadcasters. Ibiquity will have three HD Radios manufactured at a special price for as low as $99 plus shipping: a car converter, tabletop and home tuner.
Struble said the radios would be ready to ship to broadcasters in the fourth quarter so the units can be used as giveaways in the holiday season. Starting Thursday, broadcasters can sign up for the special receiver program on Ibiquity’s Web site (www.ibiquity.com.)
Struble announced the program at the NAB Radio Show in Dallas.
