Lynx AES16 PCI Card Shipping

The AES16 from Lynx Studio is shipping. It is a 192 kHz multichannel AES/EBU interface half-size PCI card. It provides 16 channels of 24-bit AES/EBU digital audio at a 192 kHz sample rate and works with single- and dual-wire AES devices.
The card ships with a hardware-based 32-channel digital mixer controlled with its own software application.
The AES16 is the first product that incorporates SynchroLock, a Lynx technology that the supplier says permits the PCI card to output very low jitter digital audio from severely degraded signals.
Two models are available. The AES16-XLR ships with two six-foot cables with XLR and BNC, and retails for $795; AES16 ships without cables and is priced at $695.
