FCC Media Bureau Chief Engineer Alison Neplokh is getting expanded duties.
She’s been promoted to Deputy Chief Technologist, and will work on complex technical issues, according to the commission.
Neplokh came to the agency in 2002, primarily working in the Media Bureau on issues including the Incentive Auction, Open Internet and the DTV transition. Her background in electrical and computer engineering, combined with her experience as an attorney means Neplokh “can present and explain things clearly and simply to a layperson,” according to Media Bureau Chief Bill Lake.
Before her stint at the agency, Neplokh was a software engineer with Ericsson.
