Mediabase to Add Formats, Stations

Mediabase, a division of Clear Channel-owned Premiere Radio Networks, plans to expand its monitoring service in January. Mediabase monitors radio airplay in more than 1,100 radio stations 24/7. The company now monitors 15 formats. It plans to add Smooth Jazz, Latin, and Christian radio stations to its product offerings, bringing the total number of stations monitored to more than 1,400. Mediabase will also expand outside the U.S., starting with some Canadian markets.
