Mercedes-Benz USA plans to offer Sirius Satellite Radios as a standard feature on the 2007 model year SL-Class and CL-Class vehicles, and all AMG and 600 model vehicles, beginning in 2006. Mercedes-Benz and Sirius have extended their partnership to 2012.
Mercedes-Benz bundles the Sirius subscription price with the radio price.
The automaker would expand the models to include Sirius as a standard feature in the future. Sirius is available as either standard equipment or a factory option on Mercedes-Benz vehicles, with volumes expected at 250,000 vehicles over the next two years. The automaker said that figure represents approximately 50% of Mercedes-Benz sales.
