More Time to Nominate Pubcast Engineer for Honor

March 8 is deadline for APRE award nominations

The Association of Public Radio Engineers has extended the deadline for its engineering award nominations by a week, to March 8.

The honor is to be awarded to an individual for “outstanding contributions” to the art and/or science of radio engineering that have made a “significant impact on, or improvement in” the state of the public radio industry.

The APRE will be held April 8–9 at the MGM Grand, preceding the NAB Show in Las Vegas.

Last year’s honorees were Don Danko, vice president for engineering, Cincinnati Public Radio, and John Kean of NPR Labs, part of NPR Distribution’s Technology Research Center.
