A-Ware Software MusicMaster scheduling software marks its 25th year this year.

The company said the Windows version, launched in 2004, also has passed the threshold of 2,500 broadcast and online users.

The first music log was run for Steve Schram at WZZU(FM) in Milwaukee in 1983. MusicMaster was founded by Joe Knapp and has also been known as Revolve and MusicScan over the years. The product took its current name in 1995.

Knapp reflected on the changes in the business since 1983, noting that he started working on the software using Ohio Scientific and RadioShack TRS-80 computers.
