CBS Radio affiliate WNOW(FM) received recognition for Outstanding Commercial — Guiffre Auto Group: “Forget About It,” Outstanding Promotion Announcement or Series — “We’re All Sandy Hook” and Outstanding On-Air Broadcast Personality Or Team — Zann On 92.3 NOW.
Emmis Communications-owned WQHT(FM) picked up an award for Outstanding Station Sponsored Event — Hot 97’s Summer Jam 2012 Nicki Minaj, and WNYM(AM) was singled out for Outstanding Sportscast — Al Gattullo Sports Report.
Regional NPR affiliate, Fordham University’s WFUV(FM) was acknowledged for Outstanding Public Service Announcement/Campaign — “Striking a Chord,” Outstanding Public Affairs Program Or Series — “Cityscape,” Outstanding Spot News — “Sandy’s Aftermath,” Outstanding Feature Story — “Big Andy, Little Andy, And The Gift of Hope and Outstanding Commentary/Editorial — “Roommating 101.”
