NAB asked the FCC this week to defer action on a satellite merger until the broadcast association can review documentation it expects to be released through a Freedom of Information Act request.
The association hopes to “review and supplement the record with certain documents relating to the serious apparent wrongdoing by XM and Sirius ‘executive and senior-level employees’ regarding the operation of FM modulators/transmitters and/or terrestrial repeaters,” it wrote.
The satellite companies called NAB’s allegations unfounded.
