Founder and former president of Nassau Media Partners Joan Gerberding is jumping to Arbitron as vice president of sales for its outdoor division.
She will be responsible for increasing the present client base, and designing and implementing sales and marketing strategies.
Gerberding founded NMP in 2000 to identify and integrate digital media into consumer and transit venues for high-impact targeting of content and advertising. During her tenure, she launched several outdoor advertising projects, including wired network of two-foot by ten-foot video “walls” at the N.Y. Waterway ferry terminals and a closed-cable TV station in the PATH train stations for the N.Y./N.J. Port Authority.
Before creating NMP, Ms. Gerberding, who joined Nassau Broadcasting Partners in 1980, was part of the company’s executive team. Additionally, she created the Jersey Radio Network, a national advertising sales division of Nassau Broadcasting Partners, in 1997.
