Neural to Demonstrate NeuStar 4.0 and Surround at NAB Radio 2006

Neural Audio Corporation is demonstrating its digital audio capabilities for surround sound and audio conditioning for digital radio at the NAB Radio Show.
Demonstrations of Neural Audio’s audio broadcast technology are available at the Harris Broadcast booth #405.
Neural Audio is featuring the upgraded NeuStar Codec Pre-Conditioner for digital radio, including HD Radio, DRM, DAB, satellite uplinks and Internet streams. The Neural NeuStar system features the NeuStar 4.0 1RU hardware unit, and its newly introduced software version, NeuStar SW4.0.
Neural says the NeuStar 4.0 processor allows broadcasters to maintain their signature sound while maximizing their HD Radio codec performance. NeuStar codec processing corrects anomalies in audio content before they are encoded through the HDC codec, enabling the broadcast of multiple channels at rates as low as 16 kbps.
The Neural NeuStar SW4.0 software can be incorporated into an HD Radio Importer, allowing broadcasters to monitor and process multiple digital radio and Internet streams in the same unit and at lower cost than stand-alone processing. NeuStar SW4.0 will be pre-installed in the Harris Flexstar HD Importer.
Also on display is the Neural Surround DownMix and UpMix, which enables the mixing, editing, storing and broadcast of 5.1 content in a 2.0 environment.
