Next Radio Announces First Group of Speakers

Australian radio programmer Craig Bruce among the list of speakers

Getting ready for its sixth annual event, Next Radio — James Cridland and Matt Deegan’s “radio ideas conference” — has announced the first group of speakers.

Among the names set to speak is Craig Bruce, an Australian radio programmer and former head of content for Southern Cross Austereo. Bruce is credited with helping to discover radio talent Kyle and Jackie O, Hamish and Andy, and create radio promotional concepts like “The Fugitive.”

Joining Bruce as speakers at the conference are Julia Hayball, University of Gloucestershire; Sam Potts, head of radio promotions at Colombia Records; Francis Currie, international radio consultant; Chloe Straw, executive producer at Somethin’ Else for the BBC’s pop network; and Graham Mack, Bob FM’s program director/breakfast host.

Tickets are now available at nextrad.io; they will available for a discounted price of £99+VAT throughout June. The Next Radio conference is scheduled to take place on Sept. 19 at the Royal Institution in London.
