A San Diego company called WebSideStory is touting a big project it did for Clear Channel Radio. The supplier said the broadcast group has deployed its web analytics product for Clear Channel’s network of 1,200 station Web sites.
“Clear Channel Radio is using HBX Analytics to measure and analyze visitor activity across its online network, including tracking the popularity of audio and video content on each site including videos on demand, live radio station broadcasts, podcasts and ‘Stripped,'” Clear Channel’s live in-studio performance offering, the supplier stated.
WebSideStory said it can integrate information about online visitor behavior with server information from Akamai Technologies, which handles Clear Channel content and applications delivery, giving the broadcast chain a “unified view” of its online business.
“This complex reporting requirement and integration with Akamai’s EdgeControl application programming interface was critical to Clear Channel Radio’s needs,” the supplier stated.
