Following in the footsteps of New York’s WBAI(FM), WPFW(FM), Pacifica’s Washington-area station, is now looking for a new home.
Unlike WBAI’s flooding and high rent, WPFW’s most recent home is scheduled for demolition. The good news for listeners is that it finds itself up and on-air in temporary quarters.
Pacifica Interim Executive Director Summer Reese explained, “WPFW, with its powerful transmitter, has had a stressful time recently given the loss of its long-term facility and the struggle to find a new permanent home in the expensive Capital District.”
