Circuito X 105.7 FM in Panama City installed an HD Radio-ready Broadcast Electronics STX LP transmitter on May 20, the manufacturer said.
The system allows the station to air analog now and implement HD Radio later. BE said the station installed the system one day after the Panamanian government selected in-band, on-channel broadcasting as its digital radio standard, as reported here.
The station general manager is Marco Antonio Fuguett. Installation and technical support were by Professional Broadcast Supply in Venezuela.
The STX LP was introduced in January; it is scalable from 1 kW to 5 kW.
