The audio processing manufacturer said Pappas’ promotion is part of a senior leadership restructuring. Previously, he had been handling U.S. sales along with corporate development as Orban’s VP of business development.

In August, we reported on the retirement of Peter Lee, Orban’s longtime SVP of global sales and European operations. It named JAA Systems its master distributor for Southeast Asia in October.

“In this new role, our worldwide sales network will now enjoy the benefit of Mike’s decades of in-the-field processing experience,” said David Day, Orban CEO, in a release. He said Pappas will continue with some of his business development responsibilities, while Day will add some of the functions to his role. The company is also looking to add staff in Europe to fill other marketing and business development activities.

Orban said 2024 was its best year for sales in the U.S., under Pappas’ leadership. In the release, the company said sales of its Optimod audio processor line, including its new Trio model, along with its 5750 and 5950 models, surpassed its goals. It said hundreds of those units were sold. The manufacturer also expressed satisfaction with demand for its XPN-AM audio processor.
