I wrote in January that Polk Audio was going to introduce a new brand, “Polk Audio Designs,” and now it has.

The mark will be used for products aimed at consumers (rather than professionals) and used to market HD Radios, iPod accessories, radios and audio systems.

Polk Audio Design products will be distributed through current Polk dealers and retailers. The first product under the label is the MiDock10, a portable iPod audio system sold through RadioShack stores for under $200.

As I reported earlier, coming in May is the HDX3, an HD Radio/CD audio shelf system that will list for under $300. It includes a CD player and detached speakers.
