In the wake of the shutdown of CBS News Radio, Audacy announced Friday that it is expanding its relationship with ABC News Audio across many of its all-news and news/talk stations.
“The addition of ABC News Audio ensures listeners across the country continue to receive trusted national and international news coverage, while our stations continue to deliver best-in-class local journalism in every market we serve,” an Audacy release said.
In Chicago, WBBM(AM/FM) switched its top of the hour news source to ABC News Radio on Thursday, according to the Chicago Tribune, as did Audacy-owned WCCO(AM) in Minneapolis, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune.
Existing ABC News Audio affiliates, such as WINS(AM/FM) in New York and KYW(AM/FM) in Philadelphia, will continue their existing longstanding relationships as part of the expanded collaboration, Audacy said.
