Radio Expecting Super Bowl Audience Too

The Super Bowl is TV’s biggest event, but Westwood One wants to remind fans that it’s not the only way to tune in for Sunday’s big game.

The Super Bowl is TV’s biggest event, but Westwood One wants to remind fans that it’s not the only way to tune in for Sunday’s big game. Westwood One indicates in a new infographic that 28 million football fans will tune in to listen to Super Bowl 50 on Westwood One Sports stations across AM/FM, SiriusXm and digital platforms.

The majority of people who make up that audience, according to the graphic, are people on-the-go, with more than half of adults listening away from home. It’s the younger audience, however, that tends to listen to the radio broadcast more, as half of listeners fall in the 18-49 age group.

Super Bowl 50 between the Carolina Panthers and the Denver Broncos will kick-off on Sunday, Feb. 7, from Levi Stadium in Santa Clara, Calif.
