Radio Nepal Chooses Inovonics Processors

Will equip 10 of the broadcaster's stations with 719 David IV FM processors

Kathmandu-based Radio Nepal has selected the Inovonics 719 David IV FM processor for use at 10 of its radio stations.

Inovonics and its Nepal dealer, SK Trading Suppliers, together managed the extensive tender process to provide the processors to the public-service broadcaster.

“We were impressed with the processing power of the David IV,” said Mr. Suresh Kumar Karki, executive director at Radio Nepal. “Through the process of National Competitive Bid (NCB), 719 DAVID IV has been tested and complies with the functional test requirements and equipment meets specified operating criteria. And we are fully satisfied with the equipment’s performance.”

The David IV is a fourth generation DSP-based audio processor for FM and HD Radio. It features five-bands of compression and graphic EQ and, says the firm, is easy to setup with 25 factory presets. Accessible via IP, the unit supports 115 V and 230 V and is backed by a three-year factory warrantee and after sales service.
